Another press conference by the Pima County Sheriff's Office will take place at 6:00 p.m.
At least 13 injured when Rep. Giffords was shot. Shooter approached Rep. Gabrielle from behind her.
Hospital press conference started at about 4 o'clock. 10 patients at the hospital. One dead, 5 are in critical 5 undergoing surgery. Others do not have life threatening injuries.
Rep. Giffords is out of surgery and expected to survive. She is under anaesthesia.
A young child was shot and killed. She was 9.
