A sentence from "The Kennedy Detail" that takes my breath away

Sometimes you read something so absurd you wonder what planet these people came from.
     P. 85, "In Dallas, it seemed to Win Lawson that the city had slowly but quietly been integrating blacks and whites."
Wow.  How far did this guy have his head up his own ass?
Yes, Dallas was a magical, utopian wonderland for Black people in 1963.  It was the inspiration for Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson's "Ebony and Ivory" song.
And who can forget the Dallas Police Men's Chorus in "Ain't Misbehaving?"
